Your programme will consist of 5 weekly 50 minute live online sessions with your sleep therapist and accompanying educational and therapeutic short videos to practice during the week.
Each session will look at different facets of your sleep disturbance and provide strategies and solutions to overcome your personal sleep problems. Insomnia, disrupted sleep and disturbed sleep is incredibly common and the group format provides you with the opportunity to find support and motivation from others going through the same experience as yourself.
During each session, your sleep therapist will go through the focus of sleep education and therapy for the week, teaching tasks, strategies and techniques for you to practice at home each week. Notes and sleep diaries will be provided to monitor your home practice and sleep experience.
One-to-one and group hatha yoga classes, incorporating postures, vinyasas, breathing, relaxation, mindfulness and meditation. Personally tailored yoga will focus on individual health needs and personal likes.
A full investigative health and lifestyle consultation will be conducted to determine sleep disorder history. This will also include 1 x week sleep actigraphy analysis with supporting clinical diagnostics, evaluation and holistic sleep therapy programme.
Consultations will provide time to discuss and devise personally tailored strategies to manage and maintain sleep quality and quality of life. Strategies will include therapies such as: CBT, circadian rhythm entrainment, homeostatic and metabolism management, sleep hygiene, sleep/wake behaviour change, nutrition therapy, light therapy, physical activity and stress and anxiety management techniques.
Monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly follow-up sessions are recommended to maintain behaviour change and monitor sleep dependent on sleep disorder.
A full consultation will be conducted to ascertain the direction and focus of your personally tailored programme. Targets and goals will be discussed and set to complement your individual commitments, timeframe and lifestyle. Health, weight management and wellbeing programmes will include a full health, fitness and lifestyle assessment and analysis.
Consultations will provide time to discuss and devise personally tailored strategies to set and achieve individual targets and goals, in a supportive and empowering environment. Most programmes require a minimum of 10 weekly or fortnightly consultations to achieve personal goals.
Monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly follow-up sessions are recommended to maintain behaviour change and monitor management of lifestyle changes.
